About

So you’re writing a program, and you can’t remember how the frak (yes, frak) to do that one thing in SQL, or you know you just finished that aspx page and now, good luck finding that bit of code. I do it 1000+ times a day. This blog is to help with the many “oh, crap” moments. Not only some code snippets here, but also some ideas, commentary on hacking other areas, patching your brain to the latest upgraded software.

I have been writing random stuff since before I can remember (baffling that I could even know that), and much of it makes no sense at all to anyone but me. Here’s hoping that this site will be different, ha! I am a husband, father to 3 so far, web programmer, real-life down-to-earth Jesus Freak, and apparently a half decent web designer and writer (so EVERYONE tells me). The other thing I am is an aspie. See Asperger's SyndromeW for details. All of this to say that my lack of filter (compared to most people) helps me see things differently, and in the event that might be helpful, interesting, or amusing to you, I have decided to write about whatever. I hope you enjoy.

Other stuff I’ve written:

I also served as weekend editor for Download Squad for a time, and the Lead Editor for DIYLife, back at its inception.

Currently I’m writing:

  • 7nbsp.com (my personal blog, about life, Asperger’s syndrome, so-called “religion”, and whatever)
  • cakehelp.net (my attempt to help people using the CakePHP web programming framework get started as I fumble through it myself)
  • umwhatnow.com (of course!)
  • RSS
  • email
  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • del.icio.us
