CodeIgniter: Where hast thou beenst?

So, I love the ethereal sense of awesome I get from CodeIgniter. It seems to cut out both the convolution (4 letter word) of CakePHP with excellent documentation, and slaughters RubyOnRails by installing to my server sans the brain damage and muscle memory of the command line. CodeIgniter doesn’t force me to use models, which is incredible if I don’t want to mess with the database stuff, or want to use my own ORM-like class libraries. It is flexible, extensible, documented like a german government program and is sexy as hell (not necessarily part of the horrible german metaphor).

I won’t promise to upload code snippets and help for CodeIgniter, because I will invariably never do it if I’ve committed to do it, so I’m not. If you accidentally see CI code here, as result of unplanned learning, don’t blame me. Check out CodeIgniter though if you have a chance. For PHP coders, it has some significant advantages to other MVC frameworks. I am currently having plenty of issues with CakePHP, because the docs and peeps talking about are not clear cut enough for me make sense of it. I do endure and welcome brain damage as a regular part of my day for some reason. I don’t mind when technology limits that however. You know, as it SHOULD. Code Igniter, it’s you and me this weekend, in the english countryside, getting to know each other. Shall we? CENSORED…….
